Breast cancer risk can be influenced by a number of factors. Some key factors that warrant further evaluation include:
• Having a family history of breast cancer
• Having had a previous breast biopsy showing “abnormal” cells
• Having had previous chest wall radiation (e.g. – mantle) prior to age 30
• Having a personal or family history suggestive of an inherited genetic mutation (such as in the BRCA genes or other cancer susceptibility genes).
If you answered “yes” to any one of the bullet points above, you would benefit from cancer risk assessment.
Pink Lotus Breast Center provides a comprehensive cancer risk assessment program that includes a thorough evaluation of genetic and non-genetic factors that impact cancer risk, provides recommendations for and implementation of genetic testing, provides increased and enhanced cancer surveillance and management, and offers accurate and up-to-date information about breast cancer risk and risk reduction strategies.
To further clarify if you have an increased risk of breast cancer due to a BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic mutation. Our hereditary cancer quiz is easy and just takes about one minute to complete. At completion of the gene risk assessment quiz, you will have the option to print your results or have them e-mailed them straight to us. We will generally follow up with you within a few days after having received your quiz to provide you with various options on if, or how to, take the next steps.
